Events 2001:

Saturday 9th June - Carnival Parade - Assembles 11am at Church Lane, Judging of Floats 12noon, Parade Starts 1pm, Finishes at 2.15pm on Newtown Recreation Ground Carnival Field with Crowning of the Queens, Fair, Crazy Sports, Car Boot Sale, etc.

Sunday 10th June - Sett Valley Fun Run - starting at 11am from New Mills Leisure Centre - choice of routes (entry £1.50). Entry forms from Leisure Centre.

Sunday 10th June - Car Treasure Hunt - starting at 4pm from Church Lane - Prize for winners (£2 entry).

Tuesday 12th June - Pub Quiz - 8pm at Royal Oak, Market Street.

Friday 15th June - Children's Disco - 7pm at the Queens Arms, Church Road.
