Annual General Meeting and Open Day at The Hangout

The Hangout, an after school drop-in for 11 to 16 year olds, is holding an open evening for year 6 pupils on 12th July between 4pm and 6pm. Youngsters are welcome to drop in at any time to use the computers, play sports in the hall, try out craft activities, or do some cooking in the kitchen.

The Hangout, which  is located behind Providence United Reformed Church, Mellor Road, New Mills is open on Mondays and Thursdays after school,  providing a safe  place for young people to meet up with friends and just “hang out”.

Later that same evening at 7pm, the Hangout will hold its Annual General Meeting in the church upstairs, to which all are welcome.  The Hangout is fortunate to have as the keynote speaker, Barry Bate, a youth worker at the Millennium Powerhouse in Moss Side.
